Reviews were right. The instructions are difficult but not impossible. I thought it was taller too. But pretty heavy in a good wayThis took me two hours to put together. First off I did what I was told exactly. The instructions are very poor and didn't list sizes of wood. My four shelves had the wrong numbers. So I started saw what I thought was right was really wrong.. (it was right the instructions were wrong)So I took it apart again.. did the instructions only to realize I was right the first time. I took this apart and put it together 3 times.I'd suggest working backwards. Do the last steps first. It'll save you lots of time.I love it… it’s sturdy & looks neat in my kitchen corner.I'm only using this cart for ease of access storage in the kitchen - it won't be used for rolling around much or heavy use. It seems adequate for holding my 6 bottle wine cooler on the top and small appliances on the middle and bottom shelves. The shelves are about 1/2 inch thick (according to the description they are particle board) - much thinner than any other carts I own. I like the seller's warranty statement (18 mos.) but since I haven't used their customer service - I don't know how they respond to problems. Overall I would say this is OK for light utility work or storage but not so sure about heavier use.That was literally that worst assembly ever! So confusing and frustating. hated that whole experience. The Bakers Rack is nice tho. very sturdy and Im happy with it.I love how this looks in my apartment! Great size and loved the price. Easy to assemble.Great product, good finish. The only drawback for this is that I was missing minor screw for the x-looking parts. Otherwise, great productI love the shelf.
