I bought this Steering Rack for my son's 2010 Mitsubishi Lancer that had developed an issue in the OEM rack. Bought this knowing that it was a ReMan steering rack, which I often prefer, since it means that its still OEM instead of some of new junk that just looks the part.I noticed two things. One issue was annoying and the other made me question the overall quality of the rebuild. The first was that after the rebuild, they sprayed the rack with silver paint to make it look like new. I understand why, but they also over-sprayed the boots and since the boots are a rubber type material, the paint constantly flakes off while you are installing it.The second issue and more concerning was that the boots were clamped on with plastic zip ties and not the steel rack and pinion boot clamps that you would expect to see on a high quality ReMan job. Seeing those plastic zip ties instead of steel bellows clamps has made me question the overall quality of what might be inside the rack.
